Plantation is centrally located in Broward County. You will find an urban environment mixed with a hometown feel. It is situated among thousands of trees and know as a “Tree City”. The neighborhoods are family friendly. Plantation provides world-class recreation facilities and many stable major businesses are located in Plantation.

Plantation was incorporated in 1953 and is home to approximately 94,000 residents, many of which own their own homes. Interestingly enough back in the 1900s Plantation was a city submerged in water.

One area that stands out the most in Plantation is Plantation Acres; it is designated a “Special Public Interest” Rural District to protect the natural landscape. Plantation spans across 21.93 square miles and although it doesn’t border the Atlantic Ocean it is about a 20 minute drive to many of the popular beaches in Broward County.

Plantation Walk is a mixed use complex and is set to complete construction in 2022. It is a mix of live, work and play! Plantation Walk will have 700 luxury style apartments, 60,000 sq. ft. or office space and 130,000 of retail space.

Plantation Midtown Square is also in the works. It will have residential developments in both townhomes and apartment buildings as well as a commercial center. Midtown Atlantic’s 2nd apartment complex in the Fountains is slated to open this year.

Plantation is just 15 minutes to Fort Lauderdale, 35 minutes to Miami, 1.5 hours to Naples and 3 hours to Orlando. It is close to 3 major international airports.
